If you must have a Sony Desktop the RC series seems to be the current high end offerings:

Budget dictates more than anything else. Still find it hard to justify the costs that Sony force for a desktop unless it is a Media Centre and these are just too 'bleeding edge' at the moment to be a wise buy.

The W1/W2/V1/V2 type machines are OK but you do have to be careful how you use them and the heavy-handed are going to have a bust machine very quickly.

Power Supples are not Sony's strong point in the desktop arena so if I were you I would budget for a decent Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) if you do go down the Sony route.

I could be wrong but I am sure I have read that Sony use standard sized power supplies in the R series of Desktops.

If true this is a definate plus if it needs replacing.

It's a standard PSU in the RA104
