DR-GA100 Headset; Mute Button not working

Hello,

I have bought the GA-100 Headset http://www.sony.lv/product/cpp-headsets/dr-ga100 last week and I am very happy with the sound/mic/wearing quality.

There is only one big problem. The "MUTE" Button on the controls seems not to work. Even when i press it I am not muted (Tested in Skype, Teamspeak). One guy on Amazon does have the same problem with his controls.

I would like to know if this is kind of a defect that is "usual" to all GA100 Headsets, or if there is just a higher possibilty to get a broken one.

Does someone of you has the headset and can tell me about his experiences?

I would also appreciate an answere directly from SONY.

This could be a hardware issue. How old is this headset if I may ask? You might want to call tech support and check your options here.

The headset itself is not even 2 weeks old.

I'm just wondering if this issue is appearing on every GA-100 Headset..
