Join the club, Paul.

My PCV-RX514 has just started to do the same ¿ blue and red light flashing alternately whilst the bleeper squawks at the top of its voice.

Seems to be unrelated to anything I'm doing on the machine, but I've noticed that the CPU is always at 100% on the Windows Task Manager Performance Graph when this happens.

I do hope some techie out there can help.

--
donlad.

Does it not say in the manual? As far as I know this is to say it's overheating, but why a premade standard model should overheat I don't know.

Cleaning the CPU cooling fan normally alleviates the problem. Also make sure that the fan isn't obstructed by any cables and that it is running freely.

Hi,Paul.
I'm John.I have a VAIO PCV-RS222.And I've got exactly the same problem as you got with the bleeping and flashing.I still haven't found the answer yet of what's the cause of it.But I think it's got something to do with overheating. The last few days my computer keeps bleeping and flashing. The last few days it's also pretty hot weather and very hot in my living room also.
And when I'm using a lot of CPU performance it also will flash and bleep. But I just think that's the problem , I'm not sure.
Hopefully you know what's the cause of this problem.
Good luck and greetings.Same VAIO RS222 problem.
