Hi everyone,

A few days ago I got a new TFT monitor(analog). This means if have two analog monitors now, which I want to use on 1 pc. Unfortunately I can't connect 2 (analog) monitors on my graphics card (Radeon 9600 XT 128 MB) because the second connector is DVI-Digital only. That's why i bought a second PCI graphics card to connect the second monitor to (S3 Trio 64V something).
The problem is that in the BIOS of my computer is no option to set the default graphics card startup (AGP or PCI). If you set it at AGP (default), Windows only sees and uses the AGP card. If you can set it to PCI-startup Windows will use both graphics cards. Has anyone an idea to make the options visible, or is that impossible?
The computer works on a Asus P4SD-VL motherboard (AMI BIOS 2.51). Asus motherboards should support this type of settings.

Thanks a lot,

Gerlof

Uhm, sorry to say so, but the proper way of doing this is to get rid of the original AGP graphics card and your PCI one and get one with a VGA and DVI-I outputs and an DVI-I to VGA adapter.

A PCI graphics card is not able to deliver worthwhile performance and will just mess up your system.

Thanks for your reply.

My classmates have also used pci graphics cards, but the best way to solve my problem is to buy a new graphics card. It's unfortunately also the most expensive option.
