I have a RS322e, with a wirless card and an extra gig or ram.

I'm looking to upgrade the graphics card to a ATI Radeon X800. But I dont know if the PSU will be enough to power everything.

If it isnt, where can I get a 400w PSU that will fit the case? is the current one a standard size?

You should open the case, then you see whether you could change the PSU or not. A X800 is a bit much for the PSU, like the 9800Pro. But a Radeon 9600Pro should be possible. But it's your's.

I think the preinstalled PSU doesn't have more than 300W. And the combinate power is much more important. (which is a quality question)

If you can use a standard PSU, then take a look at HEC. Be carefull that you get one with all connections which you need.

The sizes of standard ATX power supplies are:

ATX: 6x3.5x5.5", HxWxD. Most common. Uses 4 mounting screws.

Mini-ATX: 5x3.5x5", HxWxD. Rare size. Uses 4 mounting screws. Can be used in a regular ATX case, but often not the other way around.

MicroATX: 5x3x4", HxWxD. Use 3 mounting screws. Not interchangeable with ATX or miniATX.

Flex ATX: Even smaller than Micro ATX. Various sizes according to case specs; often not interchangeable.

The RS would appear to have a customised Flex ATX power supply installed.

Is it really a costomised Flex ATX then it hasn't enough power to handle the newest graphic cards. If you able to mod this PC-case then you should do it maybe. It's yours. I, personally, would think about a new PC. Lian Li cases are a excellent base for excellent PC, IMO. click me

It's sad to see how impossible it is to uprade a complete PC.

OK, I have now moved everything into this new case. It was quite a nightmare.

The case isnt the same awesome quality as we'ew used to from Sony, so that was a llittle dissapointing. The flaps for the drive bays are much looser and make more noise. My 2nd drive bay flap gets stuck open every time after the drive try has retracted. I think a small dab or grease on the hinge will fix that though.

The PSU has more connectors than the VAIO. I've had to cable tie A LOT out of the way.

The card read will not fit anywhere into the case. BIG SHAME 😞

The cover for the floppy drives is really shoddy, but I dont use it that much anyway.

The front of the case is glossy, and attracts dust and hair (i have 2 dogs and a cat!)

I had the worst time fitting the drives. I dont think its possible to remove the front of the case like it is with the vaio, so they had to be slotted in from beind after removing the powersupply. The front facias of the drives kept getting caught on bits of metal, and ended up in me carefully flexing parts of the case outward so that they didnt catch anymore.

Then a screw sheered off as i was tightening it.

And to open the drives you have to push the buttons quite hard, almost completely into the case. I might work on a solution to that though
