HDD Format?

Hi all. received my vp, and was very pleased for about 24 hours! Played around and added some music. Decided to delete the music on there using sonicstage, as i wanted to re-organise. Seemed to go ok but now sonicstage says i have 0.0KB of free space, and when i go to windows explorer, it tells me that my vp hdd is not formatted.
Have tried resetting but to no avail.

I noticed on the vp there is a 'format hdd' setting. would this help or would that remove all the software that came on the player?

Few other weird things e.g when i turn on my player it now says 'remote under operation', but my remote isn't even plugged in!!

i did do the firmware update but i dont think the problem is related as it was working fine last night.

Any ideas?

Don't understand why you are experincing what you have said. But I had to format the unit after carrying out a firmware update, and all has been well ever since.

I also get the same message regarding the remote control, but as soon as I touch the G-sense pad all is well, so do not get too concerned.

Just enjoy, and feel sorry for the sheep with their white plastic over hyped toys they call iPods !!
