Unable to transfer music to my Vaio

My Vaio Pocket went dead after 5 months - then it came back with a new HDD and now i am unable to transfer music !!
My laptop recognises the Vaio - but neither sonicstage nor vaio-link does ! I have already reinstalled Sonicstage and downloaded the latest vaio-link , but still no change.
Its extremly frustrating .. anyone out there who can help ??

Have you initialised the player? It's in tools if I can remember correctly. Try that and then let us know.

hi blinx, thanks for the hint - but which tools do you mean ?
sonicstage and vaio- link report that the Vaio is not connected - but windows recognises him perfectly .. so i think im pretty stuck
with my troubles ..

Try "Initialize" through the vaio pocket (disconnect it from its cradle) and not the software package. Tell us if it works.

i have the same problem i hdd format my sony vaio en now i cant transfer songs from my computer to my sony vaio pocket:smileyconfused:

Hi, i tried to "initialize" - still no change
i tried to contact the sony e-support - but thats only for vaio laptop and not the pocket.....
ANY iDEAS outside if the new version of sonicstage may help ?

hey stofie, pretty good link you found - many thanks - they tried to help but the only outcome was: pls download the new version of sonicstage - i will try that tonight at home - but i doubt it will help .. i keep you posted ..

Still not unable to transfer - now trying to setup the new version of sonicstage .. it wants to delete and deinstall the old version before - anyone got an idea if that works ??
