How do you mean mate?

If I'm transferring from a cd, it does it automatically once a disk is inserted, then it puts ithe tracks in my library, from there I use the auto button on SS 3.1 which checks what files are on the player and if it's in my library but not on the player, it'll transfer them over.

If, like last night, I'm transferring bulk files (4500 MP3's), I use import/search drive, then let SS look for any MP3 files on my hard drive, once it has found them, select which ones you want and let it do it's "magic". After that, they 'should' be in alphabetical order in my library, from there, it's auto transfer again.

note: before transferring, make sure that the settings are the ones you want, for speed, I just transfer "as is" to save time converting them.

I have recently Upgraded my Vaio with the firmware update, and downloaded sonic stage 2.3.

On trying to download a number of albums yesterday (the albums were imported as folders from a cd containing 40 mp3 format ablbums, with artwork) I have discovered that the tracks have moved over as one giant ablbum with over 500 tracks on it.
When I try to select the artist name of an album to play, I keep seeing the same giant album, with all of the tracks in the album contained in it.
WHY? This is doing my head in!!
I have tried to format the viao, and upload the tracks again, but I get the same result.
When I look on the remote control to do a search I see the artist name "artist", which contains the album also??
Is it something to do with how I have imported the tracks?

Also at times, when uploading other albums from the PC, the tracks in the album will change in order. This is very annoying when listening to a dance mix!!

Any ideas of how I can sort this out??

Cheers

I have had the same problem, I reinstalled 4500 mp3's back onto my player after I was having trouble with it freezing all the time, 99% went across OK but I have 1 file with 200 songs on it, I will be having a play around tonight, I think it's going to be something about naming the tracks because it's happened before with the same MP3's.

I think that if the player and SS can't decide where to put them, it creates 1 album with all of those tracks on.

i also have a problem on SS 3.1 where after I've done a sweep of my PC hard drive, it splits a couple of the albums up into single tracks before putting them into my library, again, it's a pain in the arse but I'll get around it.
