Vaio W series. Does empty mini PCI-E slot work?

Hello from Russia! Sorry for my English.:smileyhappy: My 1st experience of english-speaking forums.

I bought Vaio VPC-W221AX a.k.a. PCG-21212L. (series W, 1366*720, N470, Wi-fi, BT) in USA.

I foung two mini pci-e slots. One of them keeps half-pci-e card (wi-fi and BT, i suppose). Second slot is empty.

I bought 3g modem Sierra MC8790 + Solderless USIM socket

When i include modem, laptop can't switch on. Just one flash of battery lamp.

Maybe 2nd pci-e socket is disabled by Sony?

I found dip-switches (2 items*4 trigger) (picture below). Maybe they can change anything? Does anybody has instructions of them?

I moved them randomly, display doesn't work correctly (or absoulutely). But it's 64 combination. Too many for trying all of them.

Can anybody give me right way? Maybe it's impossible?
