Hi,

Is there a way to re-load the music-files from the Pocket Vaio to the PC? They are in "open" format... Why Sony doesn't implement this function?

~It's a pain in the arse. You can use windows explorer. The music files are in the omg folder. It is a pain to locate the tracks you want though (but not impossible).

It really annoy's me that due to fears about piracy you have to find work arounds like this. If i want to transfer track between my laptop and desktop rather than wasting my life ripping cd's I should be enabled to do so. I personally think it's really dumb of sony to make this stance, as you need the audio source in the first place to put onto the player. So if you are going to move it to another p.c. or "share it" you could use other methods.

If the music out there is good people will buy it. Whilst i do not condone piracy, I should be allowed to store and move about media i have purchased in any way I see fit. Sorry for the rant but i hope it solves you problem.

That is the only thing that i dislike about the VAIO Pocket.

I agree as far as mp3 players go I love the vaio. Beets the competition hands down

Ye.If you buy an iPod it shows that you just follow the crowd but if you buy a VAIO Pocket it shows that you have an IQ above 1.

But that is only my oppinion.

With iPod, can you transfer back the mp3 to your computer? Any computer?

With the iPod you can transfer the music file back to any computer but you have to use iTunes i think.

How do u use window explorer for .oma files?

i have had to use sonic stage to play .oma files. Just right click, properties open with and then select the sonic stage programe to open this file type.
I am sure there is other software out there, but i cant be bothered to search. Could always try googling it?

No not generally. however, there is 3rd party software available that can do this.
