RX402 - help me please !!!!!!!!

my RX402 is about 6 months old, and when u start the computer, if u clik to connect to the internet, it will not connect, i then have to close internet explorer and wait for like a minute, then the light under the Battery symbol, on the front of the tower flashes, there is a small noise like the hardrive is thinking, then ther is a clik noise from the tower, i can then connect to the net.
sumtimes tho, the flashing and clik do not occur so i have to restart the computer !

DOES NE1 KNOW Y THIS IS HAPPPENING !!!!!! PLEASE HELP !!!!!

Sounds like a bad modem, with all the clicking and flashing lights.
Have it looked at by Sony.

You could save yourself time and anger by going out and either borrowing a friends PCI modem or buying yourself a new one for about £20. Try that and if no joy, then send it off. If it works, you will probably have saved yourself being without a PC for a few weeks and will still have all your data.,

It could very well be that all the modems at the ISPs POP you are dialing to are busy.
Not working - wait - working does not sound like a broken modem to me.

A modem does - even if that may surprise you, Kee-Lo - not have selfawareness, thoughts or emotions. Due to this is quite certain that it does not have a temper either.

An error which occurs not always but only sometimes is intermittent, not tempremental.

I feel slightly obnoxious today....

Hehe Stephanius, I didn't mean a modem had any emotion, it's not a cyborg after all (and even they don't always have thought or emotion).

I often call hardware that's misbehaving temprimental.
