You do have crappy ones which are officially 300W but the 5V and 12V drop quickly when under load.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;i have previoulsy posted  on the issue of the small psu size that is present in the vaio lines (rz) after much time spent covering the net for additional info i found the american sonystlye page &lt;A href="http://www.sonystyle.com" target="_blank"&gt;www.sonystyle.com&lt;/A&gt; they offer a customized rz computer one of the options is a radeon 9800 pro 128mb under the specifications it lists that the power supply is no more than 295 watts no matter what graphics card you choose also it offers a second hard drive and a audigy 2 all on the same power supply the same PSU that all vaio rz computers come with well the recnt ones at least 422p 424 etc i cant imagine american sony vaios differ at all to the european models, i thought this was some interesting news, maybe someone has some comments or additional info to prove it all worng ??!! anything welcome but looks like i might be willing to buy a radeon and see what happens  :!:  thought this might be helpful to a few people &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Day :smileygrin:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

Most users will find their machines can handle all NVIDIA GeForce FX cards up to and including the FX5700U  &amp;amp; FX5900U .  These are equivalent to ATI's 9600 &amp;amp; 9800 series.  Many VAIO users have upgraded to these cards without any power issues.  That includes having two harddrives and most bells &amp;amp; whistle features.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
