My VAIO desktop is running in Windows XP and have been set up a home network with 2 laptop computer. All the setting is OK, file and internet sharing are also working properly. When printer in progressing, it's stop suddenly, and pause for a long time, sometime in 1 minutes, sometimes more and sometimes the printer was not response. I'm wondering how is that happen? Is this a setting or hardware problem?

My printer is Cannon BJC-1000, is the model too old for networking?

Please give me a hand, Thanks!
