I'm having a problem with a few pieces of hardware connected to my USB ports:

Lexmark x85 printer,scanner, phtocopier
Labtec Webcam.

Every time I reboot my VA!0, I have to reinstall the lexmark software and disconnect and reconnect the USB cables. With the Webcam I just have to reconnect the USB cable.

Atfirst I thought it was my printer at fault but I have proved it onanother computer without any problems.

I'm running XP Professional

Try getting the latest drivers from Lexmark and the other company. It could help, otherwise use some kind of hub.

Thanks for your help. The problem isn't with lexmark it is either with the Sony hardware, Sony software or my OS. I was wondering if there were any known issues with the Sony WA!0 and USB peripherals

Not usually, Sony USB ports usually work well. What CPU does it use. Maybe you need to get a USB filter driver.
