PCTV Sat (Pinnacle) doesn't run in a PCV-RXM22

Hello,

I bought a Vaio PCV-RXM22 (in Germany). A Pinnacle PCTV Sat card doesn't run in this computer. By starting the TV software the XP problem reporter stops it with the information ModName: ivivideo.ax ModVer: 3.1.58.5 at Offset: 0001404f. The card is put in slot three. The OS don't registers any conflict.

Try going to Pinacle's website and look for an update, or change its PCI slot.

Hello Mr Kee-Lo,

thank You for the answer but Your idea I tried already. In one slot, I think its number 3 (the lowest slot) no IRQ sharing appears. Unfortunetly Pinnacle hasn't new drivers.

Damn, well, I would drop them an e-mail, see if they have any solution. Tell them Sony don't support it, so could they give advice.

Thats one thing I hate about technical support - one won't help because its 3rd party hardware, when another company won't support it because its a PC they didn't make..... sigh.

Try the following:

take the card out, start your machine, and uninstall any InterVideo-software (e.g. DVD Player). They have some files that interfere with TV-cards.
