      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;vaio logo appears, on starting recovery disc it gets to blue screen then tells me the hard&amp;nbsp; disk drive cannot be found. prior to this i had a system32 problem, i think this is behind it all but i dont know how to fix it&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Message was edited by: tiggertony007&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12pt;"&gt;Sadly it sounds like the hard drive has failed and you may need to repace it.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12pt;"&gt;You could try opening the larger of the two flaps on the bottom of your Vaio and checking the hard drive is firmly connected to its interface to eliminate a poor connection.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12pt;"&gt;If you cannot fix it you may have to replace it.&amp;nbsp; You need an ATA100 drive - something like this: -&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A class="jive-link-external-small" href="http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/3436258/Western-Digital-Scorpio-WD800BEVE-80GB-2-5-inch-Internal-ATA-100-Hard-Drive/Product.html?_%24ja=tsid:11518"&gt;http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/3436258/Western-Digital-Scorpio-WD800BEVE-80GB-2-5-inch-Internal-ATA-100-Hard-Drive/Product.html?_%24ja=tsid:11518&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;|cat:3436258|prd:3436258&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12pt;"&gt;After replacing it simply boot with the Recovery Disc in the drive and it should load the original software onto the new drive.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.lt/html/@13A2E6A3774A8B47B4EC6F04089539E1/images/smilies/063.png" alt=":thinking:" title=":thinking:" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
