I had no problems with the screen of my notebook during the first month of ownership, but since connecting it up to my TV using an HDMI cable the screen has suffered from random interferences of heavy flickering, blackouts and freezing. This generally occurs once disconnecting the notebook from the television...Can anybody help?

Hi Simmoumou and welcome to Club Vaio.

Your problem sounds like a corrupted video driver. You could try reinstalling the ATI driver which is held in your C:\Drivers directory or downloadable from here: -

http://support.vaio.sony.co.uk/downloads/preinstalled/preinstalled.asp?site=voe_en_GB_cons&m=3826

I am not aware of a driver update so if this does not work then call Sony Support here: -

http://support.vaio.sony.co.uk/contacts/contacts.asp?site=voe_en_GB_cons

and see if they have any suggestions. I expect they will advise you to carry out a full system reinstallation back to factory settings to see if something has become corrupted.
