is L2 cache important?

hi, im just wondering if the motherboard specs improve performace, I.E. 4096KB l2 cache, compared to 2M L2cache, and is this cache speed important,

Yes it's important, because the more cache you have - the more you can process and store away - it's like buffering on a video stream, it gets as much as it can to make the playback as smooth over your connection.
