    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Blencogo&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Yes got sound bfore logon. Checked Device manager and all working ok along with Admin Tools.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Viewing Control Panel in classic double clicked Sound and says "no audio devices are installed"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Used driver update SigmaTel Audio Driver 6.10.5379.0 &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any more suggestions?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi All - Hope someone can help? Just ran Vaio updates on my VGN-FE41S and have lost audio. Not happy as only on its 2 week.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi milkingitworldwide and welcome.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You don't seem to be alone but unfortunately it could be lots of things.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Which Vaio Updates did you install?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Do you get sound before the Logon Screen?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;A couple of things to try for starters: -&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Go to Start -&amp;gt; Control Panel -&amp;gt; Device Manager&lt;BR /&gt;Expand 'Sound, Video and Games Controllers'&lt;BR /&gt;Is the Sigmatel Codec shown as working properly or is there a yellow warning?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Go to Start -&amp;gt; Contol Panel -&amp;gt; Administrative Tools -&amp;gt; Services&lt;BR /&gt;Scroll down the list and find 'Windows Audio'&lt;BR /&gt;Is this service 'Started' and is the startup type set to 'Automatic'?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.lt/html/@13A2E6A3774A8B47B4EC6F04089539E1/images/smilies/063.png" alt=":thinking:" title=":thinking:" /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
