Help:: Lost Recovery installing Linux

Hey guys..

I've just messed up my recovery partition installing a new linux. now even the 'vaio recovery tool' cannot find the recovery partition and F10 (while booting up) doesn't result in the recovery process. Fortunately I have recovery DVDs with me. I just wanted to know if I can restore my recovery partition with those recovery DVDs. What if i choose the option 'restore factory default' at recovery option through DVDs?? I think its really handy and secure to have a recovery partition than recovery DVDs...

can you just suggest me the way i can get my recovery partition back please??

If you stick the recovery DVD in the drive then reboot it should start the recovery program. I'm fairly certain there's an option that includes restoring the recovery partition.

Unfortunately you can't replace your recovery partition with the recovery disc's..

However once you've restored your Vaio using the recovery discs, select your Vaio model from the drop down list here for a guide on the procedure, installed your own applications and have set your personal settings, you could purchase something like Acronis True Image 10 to create and store a backup image..

Depending on what you have created a backup of, you could restore your Vaio Operating system, applications, user settings, and all your personal data in the event of a fatal system crash or virus attack to as it was when you created the image..
