I just brought myself a vaio vgn-fe41z and my girlfriend a vaio vgn-cs2/p <-----yes this one is pink and silly looking...lol... my problem is when i setup a network (adhoc p2p) i am getting very slow transfer rates between to the two computers (1mps to 2mps max) Both computers have a transfer rate of up to 54mps. Now can anyone tell me why my transfer rates are so slow...?

The 802.11g spec. only guarantees a maximum transfer speed of 11Mbps in ad-hoc mode and that will probably be pretty variable depending upon any encryption settings, distance, and environment etc. To get a faster speed you will probably need to use a wireless router and connect in infrastructure mode.
