VAIO FE 11M shuts down the system automatically

Hi,

since I had a few software problems, especially with zonealarm, I decided last weekend to reinstall windows on my laptop.

There are still problems when I start windows it takes a lot of time because it doesn´t find some mailsafe file from zonealarm. But this doesn´t bother me anymore, or not so much.

The newest problem I have, is that it shuts down the system automatically and then reboots.

Anyone got an idea what this might be????

You say that Windows is still looking for at least one file related to Zonealarm after you "reinstalled" Windows.

This makes me wonder if you actually did a full recovery using the recovery media?

It would seem not from what you posted, and would be the best solution as you would be starting with a clean HDD and unless there is a hardware fault should stop the blue screens & reboots.
