The iPAQ has slots for:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Type II Compact Flash&lt;BR /&gt;Secure Digital / MMC&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Which of these (if either) is compatible with my laptop i.e. which one can i move between the two to transfer files.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I presume you have the A Series VGN-A117S.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Your Vaio does not have memory card slots for either of these cards.  You will need to buy an inexpensive USB card reader for about £12 and this will be able to read both Compact Flash and SD cards.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You may be better advised to connect by mini USB and transfer your files through a cable.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As to which to use - I don't suppose it makes much difference and you should look at the price per MB of storage.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In short, CF cards are bigger, older technology but at the moment slightly more reliable when using more than one machine.  SD cards are smaller, lighter and 'Cooler' but are prone to a few compatibility issues.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.lt/html/@0248C33DDCF34AA61B8F8F33F5AFA5BE/images/smilies/013.png" alt=":wink:" title=":wink:" /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
