topic Volume in PCs & Accessories

I bought my 3rd VAIO about a month back. I have never had problems with volume as I have with this FE21M. I have no idea what could be causing this. It is not so bad that I hear nothing...but it is not as loud as it used to be and it is no fun watching movies on this notebook. Can anyone help? Thanking you in anticipation.

There is no solution there which I have not tried. When I go to increase BIOS volume..it also increases the sound when VAIO logo is displayed when I start my notebook...something I don't wish to have. I am starting to think it as a manufacturers problem. Just did not expect this from a US$2000.- notebook.

When I go to increase BIOS volume..it also increases the sound when VAIO logo is displayed when I start my notebook...

You can turn off the Vaio sound (at boot) in the BIOS and with some models in Sony Notebook Control. Maybe this will then make a difference.
