Marks/Paint peeling on Case - Vaio A417m (Silver)

Hi There

Sorry if posting in wrong section. Im sure alot of people will think this is a weird post but Im just wondering if anybody has had the same problem

-> I have had my laptop sitting in an open space with nothing above it and don't remember any particular incidents which would cause marks, but gradually since I bought this laptop, I have noticed the paint has peeled away on my case. More and more dots are appearing and I am really baffled and quite annoyed. I am really confused and can't think of any scenario that would of caused this. Has anybody had an similar experiences because I am really annoyed.

Hi i have a FE11M T2300 and the silver on the volume keys has started to peel off, knowhere else though!!! I only brought it in March so not too impressed! Will contact Sony see what they say.....

I've had exactly the same... thought I was going crazy:smileyconfused: overnight while I'm sure nothing could have possible 'hit' my fe21m, suddenly the paint had stripped off my volume button. I bought a silver pen in stationairy box to mask it and it works quite well but I would be very interested in sony's reply to a complaint like this... please keep us informed!

does anyone know if a thing like this is usually a one-off or is this a sign of more bad things to come?
