T2XP Hard DIsk

Hi All,

I have been thinking about upgrading my T2XP Hard Disk. Its currently a standard 60Gb (Device Manager states HTC426060G9AT00).

Are there any problems I should be aware of when upgrading it? Whats the max I can upgrade too these days?

Also - how the hell to I get to it?

I have the full Sony Restore disks for the computer, so I was hoping it would be simply plug and play, and then boot from the Restore disk - YES?

Hi Richard,

You have a non-standard 1.8 inch Hitachi Travelstar Hard Drive in your T2XP.

I have not seen a 1.8 inch Ultra ATA drive bigger than 60GB but you could try Google.

I think the max is now 80Gb. If your Vaio is at all similar to mine you have to use the same make drive or the interface cable will be different..

Once installed it should be a painless recovery procedure.
