Hi,
I tried everything on here about reinstalling the preinstalled Ultils by downloading them from the driver and download secton of the site and running the setups in the folders 1,2 and 5 and also the solution that says use folder 6 to uninstall then restart and use folder 6 to install and none of them worked.

I found out the only way to fix this problem is to system restore to before I updated my Vaio using Vaio Update. The thing is sony said to me after months of talks with them about the click noise I have on my FE11S that an update will be released to download to fix that problem in the next few weeks, I hope they fix this problem with one of the updates breaking the Fn buttons first.

I still have to send my Vaio back to sony to have the volume buttons replaced and for them to replace the memory card adapter that has never worked since I got it.

The customer support is rubbish even accussed me of dropping my vaio, saying after weeks of back and forth about the harddrive clicking that it was my fault even though these forums were full of people with the same problem, then saying the memory card adapter I have doesn't come with the vaio until I emailed them a picture of the "whats in the box" leaflet and now the updates breaking the Fn keys.

I will never buy a Sony product again, I wish I got the Macbook Pro which was released at the same time like I was going to, until the sales guy at the sony center told me that "the macbook pro's are new on intel chips and will be full of trouble at least with sony we have been making Vaio laptops for years. "

What a piss take. At least Apple support would have been helpful, they fixed my ipod within 36 hours including picking it up and returning it fixed. They sent new headphones out to me within 24 hours without even wanting to look at the broke ones and Sony have the cheek to threaten me with £120 charge it they don't hear the clicking sound or find out I dropped my laptop.

I used to like Sony my TV is nearly 8 year old and still works, my PS1 was great, but having to deal with their support team has put me off them for life.

Kevin
