highligted icons

hi i have this problem on my laptop ...basically the icons on the desktop are highlighted blue and i want them clear again ....how do i do this

just a color problem

Hi bianca,

Right click a blank area of the desktop and select properties > Desktop > Customize Desktop > Web > and uncheck ‘Lock desktop items’.

This should return the icon description to clear….

Try this then:

Open System Properties in Control Panel, choose the Advanced tab, and click Settings in the Performance section.

Check the 'Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop' (under Custom) option, and click Ok....
