Hi there,

The "core 2 duo" will shortly replace the "core duo" as apart of Intels processor lineup.

I currently have a Sony Vaio FE111S with a 1.83 ghz core duo.

I understand that this laptop has a 945 motherboard and therfore could theoretically be upgraded. I'm assuming a bios update would be required. The laptop has a Phoenix bios.

Does anyone know how to go about doing this?

I'm currently spending a fair amount of my developing on a 64 bit environment and therefore having the full 64 bit merom would be a big help.
