topic W705B feature request: disable "auto screen dimming" completely in Other TVs

As far as I can tell there's no way, on the 2014 W705B, to completely turn off backlight dimming. "Power Saving" and "Light Sensor" are off, yet the backlight dims on "all black" input (even if there's a TV menu or popup window shown, by the way).

This "feature" is annoying. I don't need the backlight to change on me when there's a momentary dramatic black pause in a movie or game. Why is it there at all? To save power when people forget their set on? If so, this should be controlled by the "Eco" menu options.

Is there a real way to send feature requests to Sony other than customer support, where I assume it will be ignored?
