Auto switching from Audio System speakers back to TV speakers

I have a KDL-40-NX803 TV which is connected to a Sonos Soundbar via a Digital Optical Cable. Also connected are a Sony BDV 370 bluray player & YouView digital box both via HDMI. When the TV is turned on it generally defaults to the "audio system" speakers and plays through the soundbar. After watching (via either the bluray or Youview box) for a relatively short period (20-30 mins) the TV automatically switches back to "TV Speakers" and I end up with sounds from both the TV and the soundbar. I then need to get back in to the TV menus to re-select the "audio system" Any ideas on how I stop this happening. Cheers Andy

Have you tried switching off the bravia sync function?

Many thanks for the info, sorry for such a late reply. Switching the bravia sync function off seems to have worked well. I ended up having to reset the TV as i couldn't disable the sync while i had HDMI input's saved on the system. Once i'd done that and cleared the inputs I was able to switch the bravia sync off. The solution is deceptively simple and you’ll wonder why you never thought of it. To disable the internal speakers plug a headphone plug into the headphone jack which will disable the internal speakers and stop the telly annoyingly and randomly switching to telly speakers…….
