Device Not Responding

Hi there. I am new to the support community and i wondered whether anyone could help. I currently have a KDL-42W829B that is less than a year old. Up to now it has been brilliant. Over the last few days i have been unable to connect to the TV from my Vaio to stream media. I always get a message saying that the device is not responding. At first i thought it was my laptop so i tried to connect my Xperia but that doesn't work either. To cut out the struggling i decided that i would put my media onto my hard drive and connect via the USB. However this doesn't work either. When i go to the home page and select media player the TV just does nothing. I have used both of these methods before to watch and listen to things via my TV but it has just all of a sudden stopped working. Is there anytning i can do?
