Hi,

I am thinking of buying a Sony HT-AS5 sound system.

Would someone be kind enough to confirm whether this system detects Cinavia copywrite protection?

i.e. I have backed up some of my movies to a hard drive as XVID .mp4 files, a few of these movies are cinavia protected, but play fine from my WD tv live media player. Will the HT-AS5 detect the cinavia protection and block sound playback from these files?

Hope that makes sense. I have searched online for hours regarding this, but am unable to find a definitive answer.

Pretty sure its standard on all Blu-ray products (BDP & BDV) , but as this is just a speaker system without a Blu-ray deck then I don't think it will have it to the best of knowledge.
