I'm confused - NSZ-GP7 or NSZ-GS7?

I have an NSZ-GS7 google TV box which I bought about one week ago. I have tried to install and use the Media Remote on my Android phone to remotely control my google TV but it won't find the box. The app installs successfully on my phone but it isn't in the app list on the google TV. When bringing up the app on my PC it says that it's not compatible with the NSZ-GS7 but it is compatible with the NSZ-GP7.

Looking on YouTube however there are videos that specify model number NSZ-GP7 which appear to look identical to my box.

I've also seen videos that appear to show a microphone built into the remote control, which mine doesn't appear to have.

Have two models been released in the UK or was the GP7 the model in the US?

I'm confused?

Sorry, the first link doesn't appear to work presumably because it's a secure https link. But it refers to the Media Remote For Android (Sony Corporation) app.

And, the Blu Ray version of the google player appears to be the NSZ-GP9 so it doesn't appear to simply be confusion between the blu ray player and the more basic box.

There will be two devices

GS7 - Black Set top box currently on sale here in the Uk

GP9 - Black and white, larger Blu-ray player, which will be released later, this one has the remote with the microphone.

Media remote is compatible with both as far as I know. Have you run the update on the Google TV box as there are a bunch of them which may resolve the compatibility issue?

Woo hoo! I eventually got the media remote working. It was my set up that wasn't allowing the phone to find google tv on the network.
