I had WiFi calling on my Experia 5 but after the latest system update crashed my phone I have lost WiFi calling due to doing a factory reset.
Any ideas how to re-activate this feature. Thanks in advance for any advice given.
It's usually granted by your service provider, for example, in the UK, you need to have a phone running o2's software, and bought from them to gain access to it.
Maybe remove the sim card, and try again, or contact your provider.
Ok basically a factory reset will bring the option as long as you have a WiFi call capable SIM card inside.
If not still there is a rare chance...
1 Remove the SIM, let the device restart completely and wait for a couple of minutes before you unlock the phone.
2 insert a SIM card from a different network
Let it restart and optimize for the new SIM.
3 Now repeat step 1
4 insert the SIM card you want to use , and then the phone will restart and bring the WiFi calls back.
I had WiFi Calling on my Xperia 5iii when I was on the EE network. I moved to Lebara which runs on the Vodafone network and after two months of me chasing them Lebara confirmed the Xperia 5iii can NOT use WiFi Calling on the Vodafone network, even though the Vodafone website gives instructions on how to turn it on in the Xperia 5iii. The Lebara website says WiFi calling is available on Android 13.
