Simple question - please pardon my ignorance -
when connecting HDMI cable, which port do you use on the Bravia TV ? But hazy but is it the ARC socket (3) or should it be one of the others ?
Thank you
Hey OldGrumppy, usually I use the ARC to get the best experience.
Many thanks, Hannah - I'll try when it arrived ( just trying to get myself organised for when it arrived later in the week )
"arrives" NOT "arrived" ( damn predictive txt !! )
That depends on the TV or the device that you are using. The ARC is usually for sound systems and soundbars. You can find more info about the ARC here. Also to get the best 4K image, you will need to set the TV to enhanced mode (depending on the model). What is the model number of the TV?

Hi OldGrumppy ,
You can set the TV to enhanced mode for better experience following: ( Settings - Watching TV - External inputs - HDMI signal format - Enhanced format )
Hope it helps

I’m with Pentium Gladio here.
Any of the HDMI ports on a TV can accept video and audio from a Firecube, with sometimes one or two of the ports being enhanced to be better than the others.
But if there is more than one such port, then you are wasting the ARC capability if you use the one and only ARC port for the Firecube, as the Firecube won’t do anything with audio returned from the TV (ARC stands for Audio Return Channel), whereas a soundbar or AV receiver could.

Thank you for the information - very informative and practical.
I really do appreciate all who have taken the trouble to advise.
