Pay streamer HBO has an App specially for Andrid TV. http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/hbo-now/hbo-now-hbo-now/hbo-now-android-tv-1-0-0-android-apk-download/ ... it didn't show up in Play Store. It loads, runs and shows up as a proper App on the Home Screen. I guess it will work with a VPN service.
