KD65XF8796BU keeps saying ethernet disconnected

Hi All,

 

Bought the above last month from Currys. I really like the TV no issues with anything else. 

 

The TV is connected via an ethernet which is connected to a five port switch. Which is connected to a powerline adapter which goes to my sky broadband downstairs (live in a townhouse).

 

Every so often the TV keeps saying ethernet disconnected and it will cut off from the built in netflix/Amazon prime/YouTube. 

 

None of my other devices suffer from these disconnects. I can be on ps4 playing cod and the error message will pop up in the top right but wont disconnect me from cod or my game etc.

 

It is literally only the TV that drops connection not anything else connected to the switch. 

 

TV is running latest firmware.

Hi guys

 

I wonder if you noticed any issues with the time settings when your TVs lose internet connection? This tends to happen so you may want to set time to be dictated by network from the settings.

The fix that worked for me is Home>Settings>Date and Time>Network Time

Certainly not the fix you would expect but there we are

The above worked for me on an AG8 55” immediately. Setting to Network Time. It was set to broadcast time and totally out of sync - I had no aerial / antenna connected. Never had this issue with my AG9 65” - that has been working fine for months.

Sadly not that, my virgin superhub only allowed a time period of 7 days, but stilll lost ethernet again in a day or so. 

 

Gahhh!!!!
