Sleep Control

A moan, just bought a KD43 UHD receiver.

Why on earth is the sleep control so embedded within the OS. Surely operating this shouldn't involve leaving what you're watching to activate?

Hopefully I've got this wrong, Can someone advise?

Hi there

Im assuming you are referring to the sleep controls in the daydream menu settings. As there is no dedicated button on the remote control, im afraid this is the case.

Cheers

I'm all too aware that it's not the case. It's frankly ludicrous. Can you get Sony in a software update to add Sleep to the 'Action Menu'?

Sleep should be able to be invoked simply and easily when in a drowsy state, a couple of button presses at max, as on my 2014 Receiver that this one replaced. A full scale interrogation of the operating system is madness.

I think thats a good idea to be honest.  So, yes i will suggest it to the powers at be in Sony.
