C5 touch unresponsive

Parts of c5 ultra screen are unresponsive often Many areas of the phone are unresponsive many times, mainly the area where the keyboard comes up. It doesn't only happen when I use the keyboard it also happens when I'm not using it. Should I take the phone to get serviced or what?

@Everb for what you say I have mixed feelings about a possible hardware issue or software... could you try to restart your phone in safe mode and/or trying to use a different on screen keyboard? (Say, gBoard - Google Keyboard) and seeing if this work?

Then you could go in Settings, About Phone and running the diangostic to see if the touchscreen works properly. If the touchescreen works properly during the tests it may be a software issue and you may want to change keyboard or perform a software repair using Xperia Companion.

Try method which i wrote YoGem, this can be SD card problem, how siad me local service. If i understood you right, your screen just frozen and in any yours touch screen don't responds? I had this problem some month ago. Somehow automatic solved now this problem. I can leave smartphone on table and i found that screen is stopped, frozen. Even this problem is when transfering apps to SD card. If you have the same, try use smartphone without SD card for a while and see will be the same problem or no Slightly_smiling_Face I hope will helps you Slightly_smiling_Face

I had the same touchscreen problem since the day i bought.I bought 2 phones for me and my wife.both had this touchscreen problem.touch wont response when lay flat on table or holding slightly upwards.During warranty period i went to sony service center and reported about this problem. They had checked and told me they need to replace the lcd screen and battery. I did not find anything wrong with the battery at that point of time. After replacement of lcd the lcd was fine at service center.when i went back home and started to use awhile later the problem comes back!!! I read some article of the lcd on some forums and found that Truly LCM lcd are faulty and Innolux had no problem. What's the difference between the both lcds? For sure it's not software problem!! Do i send it to service center again??pls advise, thk u
