Poor gsm signal reception

I have just bought Sony C4 but getting poor gsm signal reception. While my other phone z3 compact getting full signal, C4 get only one or two. Also i've never seen when Sony C4 getting full signal strength.

Are any of you having this issue?

Well c4 is definetly getting a little bit worse signal than others but calls are pretty clear. Maybe software fix will help soon... Anyway i can discard this problem since it gaves no effect on calls.

Thanks for helping.

Don't rely on the bars, instead

settings > about phone > status > signal strength, what do you see?

is your C4 compatible with your carrier's frequencies?

how old is the SIM card?

could you test the signal strength on the Z3 compact?

Hello,

 - Rapidly changing from -85db to -98db

 - Sim card is brand new.

 - z3 compact getting -81db to -85db (same operator)

 - Also i have other phones (nokia, samsung) in same room they are also getting decent signal strength

I don't understand what you mean by "compatible with gsm carrier frequencies"

Hi @incxbxs

Welcome to the community.

In the White Paper for the Xperia C4 you can find the specific frequencies that it supports, you could check with your carrier if these are what their systems use.

I don't see much of a difference on network coverage on both phones.
