screen would not dispay after call is dialled. Re installed phone software, tested it with sony diagnotics, worked in 1 out of 4 or 5 instances I ran the test.

I am facing problem during calling in sony experia c.Whenever I am trying to call to anyone, my phone screen getting locked and I am not able to disconnect.
I bought this mobile just before 15 days. Please suggest some solution.
This seems to be a serious problem with many users, although I am not having such problem. I am in India and I wonder if all the above users are in China. These defects may be with phones supplid in a particular region. I agree that Sony should call back all such phones and refund the money.
This problem in the Indian version, I feel. Im in India...

I am also facing the same problem, whenever I make a call the screen is off and does not turn back on atall unless and untill the call has ended from the other side.
I have bought the phone just yesterday and this problem is happening from the first call itself.
How to get rid of this?
Sony should not send defective sets into the market.
Are you using any 3rd party screen protector or cover? In that case it might cover the proximity sensor on the top of the phone.
You can test the proximity sensor if you download the Xperia diagnostics application:

I purchased Sony Xperia C from IndiaTimes Shopping And The order Date Was 29th October 2013 and the product got delivered to me on 2nd November 2013. I found a defect of proximity Sensor Issue In The Phone and when i approached The Sony Service Center they didnt agree to replace the handset and also they are not giving the DOA certificate. They Are Saying They Will Repair It Which I dont Want as the Product had manufacturing defect so either i want the Phone to be replaced or i want the money refunded back to me.
They Have Replaced Its Mother Board Which i am not accepting at all.
Now i have Moved To Consumer Court And I am going to fight a case against Sony Mobile.

We Just need to prove that it is a manufacturing defect and the case is ours.
