"Taken with Xperia" photo competition: "An irreplaceable moment"

The prizes

Terms & Conditions

1. This promotion is open to residents of the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Greece, Serbia, Slovakia, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria only and entrants must be aged 18 or over.

2. Entrants will need to use their Xperia smartphone from Sony to take the participating pictures. Images with missing EXIF data or not been taken with an Xperia smartphone will not be eligible to win.

3. Entrants can apply for competition by uploading images to the competition gallery.

4. By uploading pictures to this competition the user agrees that his uploaded pictures can be used on the social pages from Sony (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).

5. The maximum number of competition entries is limited to 25 images per participant.

6. Minimum picture size must be 1200 pixels at the long side of the image. For panorama pictures short side must have a minimum size of 800 pixels.

7. No purchase is necessary to participate in the competition.

8. In order to be eligible to enter the competition you must have a Community profile. If you do not have one, you can register on the site for free at http://community.sony.co.uk.

9. Members of Sony and their supporting agencies are not allowed to join the competition.

10. The three overall winners of participating countries will receive one of the above shown prizes.

11. The competition runs from 12:00 (noon) CET on Saturday, 16.01.2021 at 12:00 and will close on Sunday, 16.02.2021 at 23:59 CET. No entries will be accepted after 23:59 CET on that date.

12. The winning picture selection will take place on Wednesday, 19.02.2021. Pictures will be judged against the following criteria: Matches competition theme (capture the moment), creativity, originality, technical aspects (image quality, focus accuracy) & photography aspects (e.g. image composition). The judge's decision is final. (Votes are only a reference and are not the deciding factor.)

13. The winner will be notified by email within 5 days of the selection having taken place.

14. If no response to the notification is received from the winner within 72 hours, the promoter reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner.

15. The prize will be delivered to the winner within 6 weeks after the date of response from the winner.

16. Any taxes payable in relation to the prize will be for the winner to bear.

17. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable. No cash or credit alternative is available.

18. Should the prize become unavailable for any reason, the promoter reserves the right to provide a substitute, similar prize of approximately equivalent or greater value.

19. By entering the prize draw, participants will be deemed to have accepted and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
