Hi, I have the above problem and I'm a little dissapointed to find that the problem is common with no apperent solution to fix it.
I would really apreciate news of the abilty to fix the problem, as I am really happy with the camera and would love to continue using it.

I see there are a couple of potential workarounds on the net but with mixed results
sometimes with the fault returning again.
Is your camera under warranty?
Have you contacted Sony Support about this just to see what they say?
