L1 screen opening apps without me touching the screen

My L1 has started to open apps that are in the top right corner of the screen without me touching the screen. Tryed starting in safe mode but still the same. Also tried a factory reset but its still doing it. Any ideas

Hi @Ss66, sorry to hear about this.

Based on the troubleshooting you have already done, it may be related to hardware, however there are a few more things that you can try.

To start with, do you have a screen protector on your device? If you do, try removing it and see if there is any change. You can also try performing a software repair using Xperia Companion to rule out that this is related to the software in your device as it will be reinstalled when performing the repair.

Do note that all data stored on the internal storage will also be deleted, so it is advised that you create a backup using Xperia Companion before starting with the repair.

Should there be no change after trying the above, get in touch with your Local support team and they will assist you with having the device sent in to an authorized service centre.
