Cannot test ringtones on Xperia S

Hello,

I'm having a strange problem on my Xperia S phone. Whenever I try to listen to a ringtone, in the Sound -> Ringtone menu, nothing happen. If I click on one sound the play/stop icon turns on and off, but nothing is ever played. I remember when I just got the phone it was working. In fact, the same is happening for alarm clock ringtones. The phone speakers are otherwise working.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Try to clear data for "Media storage". Go to settings > apps > The  tab "all" > Media storage > Clear data then restart your phone
