Problem with Gmail on X10 mini

When I access Gmail using the preinstalled app key it only gives me limited functions. The screen only shows my inbox and the messages in it so I can only reply or forward sent messages. I cannot start a new message or access any other functions that are available to me if I access Gmail through the browser key.Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes you can. Although limited, you can access to other functions by pressing the MENU button.

Thanks but I don't have a menu button, I have no buttons at all, no "menu" button, no"write new" button, no "refresh" button just the inbox messages.

There are 3 buttons at the bottom of your phone. The 1st (left) one is the MENU button, press it and a menu will appear.

Thankyou' thankyou' thankyou, this has helped with my problem with google maps as well. Previously asked my husband who has an iphone for help an as it only has soft buttons he did not think to use the hard menu button and therefore was no help.
