2 questions Sony VGF-Ap1L

Can i convert MP3's to ATRAC3/ATRAC3PLUS by using SonicStage2.3?( I already installed the current firmware)

Actually my problem is that , after converting one mp3 to Atrac3plus in the media library and sending it to my Vaio VGF-AP1L , it sais that it is still mp3 128kbit/s. and not ATRAC3Plus 256kbit/s as i have converted it....

Just my WMA's and WAV's are converted in Atrac3plus...

I actually think that the quality of Atrac3plus256kbit/s is better than MP3 128kbit/s isn't it?

2nd Question: Is that right that the Accumulator gets more empty when i listen to mp3s than to Atrac-Files?

Higher Bitrate + More energy consumption.

Why converting a MP3 128kBit to Atrac3Plus 256kBit? That increase the file size but the quality is still the same or poorer. Because you can't convert a file into another Codec without to lose quality. Atrac3 132kBit would do the same job if you want convert a 128kBit MP3 file.
