A115... can I upgrade to 2GB RAM?
Hi all,
I know, sony tell that on my vaio vgn-a115s I can install only 1GB ram. I did it. But now I really need more ram to use with virtual machines. My notebook is based on Intel 855PM chipset and it support up to 2GB ram.
Anyone tryed to install 2GB ram (2x 1GB sodimm) ??
Why did sony set this limitation?

The A115S can accept up to 2048MB RAM despite what Sony may say. Have a look at Crucial.com , they guarantee that their memory and recommendations will work, or your money back.

Take notice that a huge amount of memory will take a lot of your battery and might decrease your windows performances. Although windows supports up to 2GB, it still isn't perfect in some cases.

2003 can hold up to much much more memory, so shouldn't be a problem
