A317M - On AC Power Not Showing

Hi just got my A317M a few days ago and I've noticed that despite leaving the laptop to charge fully before switching it on and still leaving it on ac power, the battery icon does change to show the power lead icon, but when I hover over it all I see is 100% remaining (charging) instead of "on ac power" as I've previously seen on other laptops.
I've checked in control panel but can't see anything to change so I'm looking to you experts for some assistance.

This is normal for Vaios - they all do the same thing. The battery does stop charging it just doesn't show in Windows.

Yep

The same on my VAIO. If you don't use the battery and the battery is full. Take the battery out from your laptop and use only the Powersupply.

Hi guy,
I just received my A317M and I format it in order to set XP media center edition.
I regret it cause I can't use the sony's program anymore, I lost the recovery partition.
Can you please send me your recovery partition
